How To Find Lyrics

This page is a guide to the best resources for lyrics that the internet has to offer. Most lyrics, whether rock lyrics, country lyrics, or rap lyrics are available. This site will either point you to the lyrics sites or show you how to find them. I have compiled this guide through my own experiences in searching for lyrics.

All Music Guide
This is the place to go if you are not sure of the artist or song title. You may find that other artists covered your song and the lyrics may be available on their site. It is also a good way to verify the correct spelling for the artist or song title.

This should be the next place to check. This is great if you only remember small lines of the lyrics. This page features a handy search engine for the alt.music.lyrics newsgroup. Your question may have been asked and answered here. Please post any lyrics requests here as I am no longer accepting requests for lyrics.

OLGA
The next stop should be OLGA (On-Line Guitar Archive). This site has been shut down but there are multiple mirrors with a huge amount of lyrics are available. They have a good search engine to find what you need on the mirror sites. The lyrics only go up to June 1998.

Peter Fischer has an unbelievable list of lyric sites. He has listings for many artists' sites. (Alas, no listings for J. Geils Band!!)
